Dental Implants
A dental implant is a prosthesis that interfaces with the bone of the jaw or skull to support a dental prosthesis such as a crown, bridge, denture or facial prosthesis or to act as an orthodontic anchor.
Dental implants are an option for patients who have missing teeth or gaps and would like to have a fixed replacement solution. Your dentist may refer you to Dr. Goubrial to assess your suitability for dental implants.
A dental implant is a titanium screw that threads into the jawbone to allow for stability. Once the implant is placed and is stable in your jaw bone, an artificial tooth can be fitted to the implant. If multiple implants are being placed, then a denture or bridge can be fitted to the implants.
Once the implant is secured into the jaw bone, your referring dentist will fabricate the prosthesis to be attached to the implant. Upon request, Dr. Goubrial can also help with this step.
During the consultation, Dr. Goubrial will answer any questions you may have regarding the proposed procedure.
